Sioux leather prayer
Vengo davanti a Te,as one of your many children.
il mio piu’grande nemico: me stesso.

The Sioux prayer
Approximate translation
Oh Great Spirit, whose voice I can hear in the winds
And whose voice gives life to the whole world, listen to me.
I come in front of you, as one of your many children.
` I am small and week,
I am in need of your strength and of your wisdom.
Allow me to walk in the beautiful things,
And let my eyes to admire the red and golden sunset
Let my hands to respect what you created
And my hears be ready to hear your voice.
Let me be wise, so that I can know the things you touched to my people,
The lessons that you hided in every leaf, in every rock.
I am searching strength, not to dominate my brothers,
But to be able to fight against my worst enemy: myself.
Let me be always ready to come to you
with clean hands and strait eyes
So that, when the life evanishes as the light at the sunset
My spirit may come to you without shame
