Life and Wisdom in world culture
What's "Love Sublime"? Does the Indian movie show us the truth? Or it's only another repetition of Grimm's fairy tale " The Frog-Prince"? A small girl turns into an unhappy young lady whose scarred face has been hidden under the veil until one day.....she meets her "prince". Mocked so much by her townsmen she cannot believe that someone could pay attention to her. Her burnt skin on the left side of the neck has destined her to loneliness and despair and this suffering has made her voice of the highest vibrations.
Her singing in her father's temple wakes up the neighborhood in the early morning to remind of the pure devotion of God's children. The city fair and the strange funny mirrors... the young man sees his distorted face to get frightened and sick of the horror inside. "I cannot bear ugliness!" And his words remain lonely and empty in the large hall where others amuse themselves.
But Grimm's prince was supposed to turn into an ugly frog because of some disobedience while here the young lady was turned into an ugly woman for her only desire to celebrate her 12 birthday. She wasn't to blame that her mother had died at her birth. Still both tales discuss people's arrogance, vanity and pride.
The princess didn't want to fulfill her promise in disgust with the ugly frog, so her father -the king pushed her to keep her word. Here, the king plays the role of the just One demanding fulfillment of a promise . Similarly the Hindu man cannot send his wife off аs he is confronted with the rules of honor and chastity. "If , I am sent back, my father will die!" So his ugly wife stays at home hiding behind the curtains.
In such cases God seems cruel and relentless. The suffering is incredible. In both cases the black magic of
the tricky fate is destroyed through the Principle of justice - when true love has been hurt earthquakes and floods sweep common people's life away.
What about us? How are we able to accept the truth of our imperfection? Love cannot bear ugliness! And we prefer to close our eyes in horror. But this static vision cannot stay forever. Or as the Holy Scriptures say the illusion of the senses keeps us prisoners. And the only Savior is our hearistic devotion to a higher cause. The princess cannot become a queen if her superficial attitude goes hand in hand with her pride. A True Queen makes a True King - and the little princess is pushed to obey in tears. A specialist engineer cannot help the town if his heart has been blocked for the suffering of the people. They don't need a highly qualified barbarian. Water keeps the memory of deep hurt and burst in an enormous flood.
The agony of true love finds its way to show its ability to let the tears of purification free.
So we once again seem to enlighten the hidden truths in stories made by Western and Eastern writers.
Тhe universal principle of life is told in quite different surroundings. Still both cultures try to educate people in one and the same universal values . Both recognize the necessity of inner transformation of the heart and changing of the character. Today students are exposed to a constant aggression . The black magic of the dark kingdom should be completely broken. Offence and crime go hand in hand at schools.
Let's play games. Let's try to experience a challenging task!
